BIO
Alex Scarfe is an award-winning editor and seasoned post-production professional based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, he earned a BA in Cinema Art and Science from Columbia College Chicago in 2018, followed by an MFA in Post Production Editing from the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in 2020.
While at AFI, his short film Apart, Together won the 2021 GSA BAFTA for Best Live Action Short and was featured at acclaimed festivals including the Sundance Windrider Summit, Vancouver International Film Festival, and HBO Presents UrbanWorld. He also edited Faro, which was selected for the 2021 Festival de Cannes.
Since completing his studies, Scarfe has worked with leading studios and brands including Netflix, Samsung, Woodford Reserve, Meta, Paramount, and Apple. He served as Lead Assistant Editor on the premiere season of Yo! MTV Raps for Paramount+. Most recently, he has brought his expertise to Riot Games as an editor on their video content team, contributing to Emmy Award-winning series and documentaries such as Arcane: League of Legends and Common Ground.
